SIROCCO™ effectively prevents wear, oxidation, foam and rust, while its inherent lubricity and thermal conductivity reduce heat and energy consumption, increasing operating efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.

Application Recommendations
AMSOIL SIROCCO™ Synthetic Compressor Oil is a multi-viscosity oil meeting the requirements of 5W-20. It may be sued in applications calling for either an ISO-32 or ASO-46 compressor oil or coolant and is recommended for use in single- and multi-stage rotary screw compressors and vacuum pumps that call for this viscosity.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are long life lubricants based on high quality synthetic oil technology. These oils are formulated with a premium additive system that inhibits oxidation, acid production, viscosity increase, rust and foam for outstanding component protection and postive equipment performance.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are formulated for long life and typically reduce maintenance costs by extending drain intervals and reducing labor associated with repairs, down time and change outs.

Application Recommendations
AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils are recommended for high and low pressure gear, vane and piston stationary and mobile hydraulic systems. They are available in many viscosity grades; choose the grade recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils meet the performance requirements of all major hydraulic manufactureres and are excellent for general purpose use where extended drain intervals are desired or in severe duty operations where temperature extremes are encountered. The ISO 15 and 22 grade products, AWF and AWG, are preferred for use in temperatures -20°F or lower.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils resist thermal and oxidative breakdown, inhibiting carbon and varnish deposists. Deposit-free hydraulic equipment outlasts and outperforms deposit-laden equipment. Machinery lubricated with AMSOIL Synthetic Hydraulic Fluid runs cooler than machinery lubricated with conventional fluids. Cooler operation promotes long life for hoses, seals and other components.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils separate readily from water, preventing the formation of oil-water emulsions and subsequent degradation of equipment and lubrication and protections. Ready water separation also promotes easy sump water drainage.

AMSOIL Synthetic AW Series Antiwear Hydraulic Oils' high-quality zinc-based antiwear/antioxidant additive prevents wear in high-speed, high pressure vane and gear pumps while meeting the lubrication requirements of axial piston pumps with bronze-steel metallurgy.

AMSOIL Synthetic RC Series Gear and Bearing Oils

AMSOIL Synthetic RC Series Gear and Bearing Oils are primarily recommended for gear and bearing applications and circulating systems requiring A&O and/or anti-wear additive technology. Made from high quality synthetic base stocks and additive systems, AMSOIL RC Series lubricants effectively prevent wear and protect equipment by maintaining viscosity, resisting thermal and oxidative breakdown, incorporating anti-wear additives, preventing rust and resisting the degrading effects of water.

The high viscosity index and low pour points of AMSOIL RC Series lubricants allow for extended temperature protection and performance. AMSOIL RC Series Oils remain fluid at cold temperatures, providing easier startups, quick lubricant circulation and limiting the need for sump heaters. At higher temperatures, AMSOIL maintains a thick lubricating film, reducing metal-to-metal contact and component wear.

Extreme Pressure Gear Oils

AMSOIL Synthetic SG Series Extreme Pressure Gear Oils are made from shear stable, high quality synthetic base oils and are fortified with additives that deliver high performance in industrial gear applications. These oils are designed to reduce maintenance costs by extending equipment life, extending drain intervals and protecting against wear, pitting and rust.

Application Recommendations
AMSOIL Synthetic SG Series Extreme Pressure Gear Oils are recommended for industrial applications operating under heavy loads and shock conditions and specifying an extreme pressure lubricant. This includes, but is not limited to, enclosed industrial spur, bevel, herringbone, helical and worm gears*, chain drives, sprockets and most metal-on-metal systems requiring extreme pressure additives.

Slideway, Chain & Gear Lubricant

AMSOIL Semi-Synthetic WL Series Slideway, Chain & Gear Lubricant is a high-quality heavy-duty lubricant composed of synthetic base oils, large molecule petroleum base oils and additives specifically designed for extreme pressure conditions found in gear, chain and machine tool applications.

AMSOIL Semi-Synthetic WL Series Slideway, Chain & Gear Lubricant provides the excellent lubricity and film strength required to prevent scoring and wear during equipment operations, and to reduce friction for efficient overall performance.

AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR™ Extreme Pressure Synthetic Gear Lubes

AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic Extreme Pressure (EP) Lubricants are premium grade lubricants specifically engineered for maximum performance in severe duty applications. These state-of-the-art AMSOIL formulations feature an exclusive blend of high viscosity, shear stable synthetic base oils and an extra treatment of high-performance additives. AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants maintain their viscosity for long-lasting protection against metal-to-metal contact. The proprietary AMSOIL additives form an iron-sulfide barrier coating on gear surfaces, providing the ultimate line of defense against wear, pitting and scoring. AMSOIL Severe Gear lubricants prevent "thermal runaway" - a phenomenon caused by a lubricant's inability to control friction and increased heat under high-stress conditions. By preventing thermal runaway, AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants inhibit rapid lubricant degradation and component damage. Equipment runs better and lasts longer with AMSOIL Severe Gear Synthetic EP Lubricants.

Use in differentials, manual transmissions or other gear applications where one or more of the following standards are specified: API GL-5 & MT-1, MIL-PRF-2105E, Dana SHAES 234 (Formerly Eaton PS-037) for 250,000 miles, Mack GO-J, Arvin/Meritor 0-76N (75W-90) & 0-76M (75W-140), plus hypoid gear oil specifications from all foreign and domestic manufacturers such as GM, Ford and Daimler Chrysler. Can also be used in rear axles where API Service GL-4 lubricant is recommended.

AMSOIL Long Life Synthetic Gear Lubes

AMSOIL Long Life Synthetic Gear Lubes are extended drain gear lubes engineered specifically to last several times longer and protect gears better than all conventional gear oils. These exclusive AMSOIL formulations of premium synthetic base oils and high performance additives resist acid, carbon and varnish formation from oxidative breakdown. Components run cleaner and last longer. AMSOIL Long Life Synthetic Gear Lubes are shear stable and friction reducing. They maintain their viscosity during extended service for maximum wear control and they are fuel-efficient. The superior cold temperature fluidity and high temperature stability properties of AMSOIL Long Life Synthetic Gear Lubes make them excellent for all-season use. Equipment lasts longer and maintenance costs are reduced with AMSOIL Long Life Synthetic Gear Lubes.

AMSOIL Slip-Lock Differential Additive is formulated for use with both synthetic and petroleum gear lubricants and safely replaces manufacturer recommended friction modifiers. Its convenient flip-top dispenser provides quick and easy application to the gear housing. One four-ounce bottle of Slip-Lock treats differential capacities of two to four quarts. It is not for use in automatic transmissions or other applications requiring ATF.

NOTE: AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes do not require the use of this additive. However, not all differentials respond the same and if chatter is noticed, the addition of AMSOIL Slip-Lock will eliminate it. For chattering differentials not running AMSOIL Gear Lube, this product is an excellent solution to the problem.

AMSOIL synthetic greases offer the superior properties of synthetic oils, premium quality lithium complex thickeners and top-quality performance additives.

Broad Temperature Performance
AMSOIL synthetic greases peform across a broader temperature range than other greases do. One AMSOIL synthetic grease may replace two conventional, seasonal greases, reducing inventory and the possibility of misapplications.

Extreme Pressure and Load Carrying Ability
AMSOIL synthetic greases protect components from metal to metal contact, even under heavy loads. Their extreme pressure additives form a shield against sudden or sustained extreme loads for dependable protection from wear.

Rust and Corrosion Protection
AMSOIL synthetic greases contain special rust and corrosion inhibitors to protect parts from rust and corrosion.

Compatibility
AMSOIL synthetic greases are compatible with most other greases and most seal materials. Preventive maintenance practices dictate thorough removal of one grease before installing a new grease, even when grease incompatibility is not expected.

Synthetic GL Series Multipurpose EP Lithium Complex Greases
AMSOIL Synthetic GL Series Multipurpose Greases are the preferred greases for high speed/high temperature applications and are formulated with dissolved load carrying and extreme pressure agents. NLGI consistency grades #0, #1, and #2.

Synthetic GH Series Heavy Duty EP Lithium Complex Greases
AMSOIL Synthetic GH Series Heavy Duty Greases are formulated with dissolved extreme pressure agents and suspended molybdenum for exceptional load carrying ability in extreme load, low speed applications. NLGI consistency grades #1 and #2.

Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Grease
AMSOIL Semi-Fluid 00 Synthetic EP Grease is a problem-solving lubricant ideal for leaky gearboxes in industrial and fleet applications and for use in applications that are difficult to service. It provides superior protection and performance in shock-loading applications that rupture the oil film of conventional greases.NLGI consistency grade #00.

Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Complex Grease
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Complex Grease is formulated for utmost protection against water. Its outstanding resistance to washoff and anti-rust/anti-corrosion activity make it the preferred grease for components subjected to frequent or prolonged water contact. NLGI consistency grade #1-1/2. May replace NLGI #1 or #2 greases.

X-Treme Food Grade Grease
AMSOIL X-Treme Food Grade Grease is formulated for applications in which incidental food contact may occur. It offers excellent high-and low-temperature performance and rust and corrosion protection, making it ideal for food processing.NLGI consistency grade #2.

In 1972, AMSOIL INC. introduced AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-40 Motor Oil and became the first company in the world to market and manufacture an American Petroleum Institute (API) rated synthetic motor oil. In 1975, AMSOIL introduced a synthetic diesel oil, and with it, coined the term "extended drain intervals."

Since then, AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils have been used as extended drain lubricants in transportation, equipment and stationary engine applications. In every industry, they have proven effective in improving engine durability and fuel economy. Superior Performance

AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils lubricate and protect diesel engines better than conventional lubricants do.

Volatility - AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils' volatility is exceptionally low which keeps oil consumption rates low and inhibits oil thickening. For example AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil loses only 6 percent of its mass to volatility in the Noack Volatility Test. Other popular 15W-40 oils lose as much as 13.96 percent.

Thermal Stability - The excellent thermal stability of AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils helps keep oil oxidation rates low, inhibits sludge formation and ensures proper engine lubrication and protection. It is a critical factor in safely extending oil drain intervals.

Oxidation Resistance - AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils' outstanding oxidation resistance keeps engines cleaner longer for efficient operation and long life. Oxidation resistance is also a critical factor in extended drain intervals.

Low Temperature Performance - The cold temperature fluidity of AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils enables cold engines to start easily, protects cold engines from premature wear after engine startup, promotes excellent cold temperature fuel economy and eliminates or reduces the need for inventories of seasonal oils.

Superior Protection

Fully formulated motor oils contain additives that perform functions the lubricating oil basestocks alone can't perform. For example, detergent-alkalinity additives inhibit the formation of deposits on hot engine surfaces and neutralize acids. Dispersants inhibit wear caused by soot and debris. Viscosity index improvers give lubricants multi-grade viscosity. Other additives inhibit lubricant oxidation, metal oxidation, rust and foam or prevent component damage when a full film of lubricant isn't present to prevent it.

AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils are formulated with the highest quality additives available to ensure proper lubrication and protection in extended drain use.

Wear Protection - Wear protection is provided by the lubricating oil in areas where a full lubricating film develops between moving parts, such as the bearings. It is provided by anti-wear additives in areas where a full film does not develop, such as the valve train.

The Four Ball Wear Test (ASTM D4172B), a test designed to measure the effectiveness of anti-wear additive systems, shows AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil produced wear scars as much as 39 percent smaller than those produced by competing petroleum and synthetic diesel oils. That's significantly better wear protection.

Shear Stability - Some VI improvers break down in demanding operating conditions. When an oil's VI improver breaks down or shears, the oil no longer retains its intended viscosity over its intended temperature range, rendering the oil unable to protect the engine from premature wear in high temperatures.

AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils are highly shear stable. Shear stability is especially important for engines that operate at constant speed, such as stationary engines, marine engines and farm tractors.

TBN and Detergent-Alkalinity - AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils are formulated with 12 Total Base Number (TBN), a high value designed to provide superior control of corrosion and high temperature deposits in extended drain service. Most conventional diesel oils' TBN equals 8.

AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils' highly effective detergent-alkalinity additives help piston crownlands and compression ring zones stay clean, inhibit bore polishing and piston deposits, minimize cylinder liner wear, minimize ring wear and breakage, and help keep oil consumption rates low.

The ability of AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils to maintain high TBN values sets these oils apart as superior extended drain lubricants.

Dispersancy - Dispersants control soot and other contaminants and inhibit the formation of sludge and deposits on low temperature areas, such as the piston skirts and adjacent areas.

Lasting control of soot, other contaminants and low temperature deposits are an integral element of AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils' extended drain capabilities.

Complete Protection - AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils also contain antifoamants to prevent persistent oil foaming, anti-rust agents to inhibit rusting and anti-oxidants and metal deactivators, both of which retard oxidation processes.

AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils save diesel operators money through increased fuel economy, increased engine durability, reduced oil inventories and extended lubricant drain intervals.

Fuel Economy - Independent testing and fleet demonstrations show engines equipped with AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils operate with better fuel economy than engines equipped with other diesel oils do. Fuel mileage improvements in excess of three percent have been documented in independent testing.

Engine Durability - Fleet demonstration oil analyses comparing the performance of AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils to competitive products show lower rates of wear metal generation with AMSOIL products. AMSOIL XL Motor Oils

AMSOIL XL synthetic motor oils are made to deliver 7,500 miles or six months of service between oil changes (or longer when relying on factory-installed oil monitoring systems such as used on GM and some European vehicles). These oils provide outstanding wear protection and increased power, performance and fuel economy in high and low temperatures.

AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Oils

New AMSOIL "Fabulous Four" 2-Cycle Oils provide second-to-none protection and performance in modern two-cycle equipment.

Two-cycle engines remain the workhorses in recreational equipment, including outboard motors, motorcycles, snowmobiles and personal watercraft, as well as in lawn and garden applications like lawn mowers and weed eaters. Design changes over recent years have included direct fuel injection engines, in which fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber, and exhaust power valves, which improve combustion efficiency at varying RPM. These design changes have allowed two-cycle engine manufacturers to effectively reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency and decrease oil consumption. Today's two-cycle motors of all types require specialized oil technology to deliver maximum engine protection, dependable operation and long service life

As the leader in two-cycle oil technology, AMSOIL has performed extensive research in developing a new line of revolutionary, specialized oils called the "Fabulous Four." AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil (AIT) was the first new oil to be introduced. It is primarily recommended as an injector oil or at a 50:1 mix ratio in carbureted, electronic fuel injected (EFI) and direct fuel injected (DFI) snowmobiles, personal watercraft, motorcycles and ATV's. Formulated with wax-free premium quality synthetic esters and a specialized additive package, INTERCEPTOR is designed to address the exhaust valve sticking problems associated with certain snowmobile models.

New AMSOIL HP Injector Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil (HPI), DOMINATOR Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil (TDR) and Saber Professional (ATP) and Outboard (ATO) Synthetic 100:1 Pre-Mix 2-Cycle Oils complete the Fabulous Four lineup, replacing AMSOIL Synthetic 2-Cycle Injector Oil, Series 2000 Synthetic 2-Cycle Racing Oil and 100:1 Pre-Mix Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil, respectively. The application chart below ranks each oil's performance in common two-cycle applications.

Even though AMSOIL 2-Cycle Oils have been optimized for specific applications, they are multi-functional and recommended for use in many areas. The chart rates each oil's performance abilities per application as follows:

Excellent: "The" primary recommendation for the oil. This is the best possible choice for the application. The oil is specifically designed for the operating conditions of the motors in these markets. There is only one "Excellent" recommendation per category.

Very Good: A main recommendation for the oil. Identifies an oil that is very good for the operating conditions of these motors.

Good: A secondary recommendation for an oil. The oil was not specifically designed for these applications, however, the chemistry in the oil is suited to the operating conditions of these motors.

Not Recommended: Identifies applications where the product was not intended for use. "Excellent" rated products otter superior performance.

Racing:

(1) Not recommended for long-term use in outboard motors as a TC-W3 type oil, although excellent as a race oil for short term use where motors are periodically inspected.

(2) Excellent for racing or modified motors. Very good for recreational use.

Oil Analysis

Right now, the oil working in your crankcase, gearbox or sump contains information that could be vital to the performance and productivity of your engine or equipment. Contaminants that can indicate wear or cause serious equipment damage such as metals, water, raw fuel, acids, fuel soot and other solids collect in your lubricant. Using oil analysis to evaluate these contaminants is a scientific approach to predictive maintenance, allowing you a look inside your machinery to spot mechanical wear and contamination in its early stages. You'll extend machine life, head off major maintenance costs and prevent catastrophic failure that can shut you down or leave you stranded, and you'll maximize lubricant life.

AMSOIL Oil Filtration Systems

The AMSOIL Ea Spin-On By-Pass Filter cleans oil diverted from engine circulation by treating it to ultra-fine filtration that removes sub-micron sized particles and water.

That helps engine oil last its longest and perform its best. In fact, use of the By-Pass oil filter may eliminate the need for oil changes.

Dual-Gard Oil Filtration System
AMSOIL took the performance built into our standard big truck By-Pass filters, and put it into a much more convenient and versatile pacakge.

Wear tests have shown particles of contamination in the sub-20-micron range are most harmful to rings and bearings. Most trucks are sold with a full-flow filter as their only oil cleasnsing unit. A study by the Milwaukee School of Engineering determined the filtering efficiency of four top-selling full-flow filters compared with a BE-90 AMSOIL Spin-On Bypass Filter. The graph (below) shows the By-Pass functioning at 97.6% efficiency in removing particles as small as 3 microns, a feat no full-flow filter can match.

The AMSOIL Ea Dual Remote Oil Filtration System combines the AMSOIL Super Duty Oil Filter and the AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Oil Filter on a single mount that may be placed anywhere space allows in the engine compartment, for ease of serviceability.

The Dual Remote increases the circulating oil volume in the engine. That helps the oil stay cleaner and last longer, and it helps regulate engine temperature, which promotes engine life.

Top Spin Filters

The Donaldson TopSpin™ separates up to 85 percent of all incoming contaminants and more than 99 percent of particles 20 microns and larger, reducing air filter usage and greatly extending filter life. The TopSpin™ continues to work at engine idle, cleaning the incoming air even when the equipment is not moving. Pre-filtering incoming air provides lower restriction, improving engine performance and reducing filter costs. The TopSpin™ has a range of 90 - 1500 cubic feet per minute (CFM).

Ea Oil Filters

AMSOIL INC. of Superior, WI announces the introduction of its new Ea Oil Filter line featuring advanced full synthetic nanofiber technology. The new Ea Oil Filters tout improved lubricant flow, improved cold-start performance, reduced operating costs and extended service intervals. AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters are the highest efficiency filters on the market for automotive and light truck applications.

AMSOIL is the first in the industry to offer a full synthetic media in a cartridge style filter. The Ea synthetic media is made of fibers with a controlled size and shape that are significantly smaller in diameter than conventional filters. Extensive testing shows that AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters provide a near perfect absolute efficiency rating.

WIX AquaChek® Filters Remove Water

WIX AquaChek® air drying filters provide unsurpassed protection from water, rust and corrosion. The super-absorbent polymer fibers that make up the media are pleated and inserted into a spinon filter housing. As water molecules come in contact with the polymer, they react with it to form a molecular bond that never releases.
