For those of you that do not know me my name is Glenn Patzig; I'm an Amsoil Dealer operating out of the Louisburg, KS area. Through the advent of this site and travels across the country, I'm only a mouse click or a toll free call away. I have been an Amsoil Dealer for the past twenty five years and enjoy every minute of my interaction with all of you.
For those of you that have not been introduced to the world of synthetic lubrication you are in for an eye-opener. Throughout my twenty five years in the lubrication business I have seen major changes, not only in product design but in the thinking processes of the average person on the street. I know when I got my first car and being from the old school (no fault of my upbringing) the more times I changed my oil the longer my car would last! Not only was I foolish but a lot naive.

What are synthetics anyway? Not to get technical here, we will later. Synthetic lubricants are an engineered chemically blended, mostly organic compounds designed for various applications. All though all lubricants are designed to protect your vehicle in its daily operating ranges, the protection and longevity they provide are world's apart. Synthetics cost more up front, however in the long run they are more cost effective and cheaper than buying oil off the shelf at your favorite retail store. Synthetics reduce friction so dramatically there are little or no measurable wear parameters, and due to the friction reducing properties dramatic increases in mileage are noted in most applications.

Two distinct advantages of using Amsoil lubricants compared to other synthetics or petroleum products are reduced friction and extended drain intervals. Amsoil reduces friction so effectively that operating temperatures have been reduced as much as 50 degrees. Reduced friction translates into little or no wear and less friction means gas mileage goes up. That translates to paying less at the gas pump.

Extended drain intervals means Amsoil not only performs better than all other products but due to the superior technology of its formulation it can stay in your vehicle for longer periods of time. Using Amsoil By Pass filtration systems, change intervals over 100,000 miles are not uncommon. My diesel truck went 139,000 miles before I had to change the oil for the first time. Without the Amsoil By Pass Filter, our TSO 0W30 oil recommends a 35,000 mile change interval. More on this later. All of this translates to less expense, less down time waiting for oil changes. For those contractors who make a living using their vehicles and machinery and moms on the go wouldn't your rather change your oil every 35,000 miles instead of every 3,000 miles?
