AMSOIL High Performance Oils

AMSOIL High Performance synthetic motor oils are specially formulated to operate in high-temperature/high-stress engines, such as those in sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks and diesel-powered passenger vehicles.

AMSOIL XL Motor Oils

AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil

For vehicles that are stored or not operated for long periods of time, use AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil to reduce corrosion from lack of use.

AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR ™Synthetic Gear Lubes

AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR ™Synthetic Gear Lubes are formulated with superior "film strength " and extra additives to protect gears and bearings from scoring and wear, and they effectively resist high heat and possess excellent cold flow properties. SEVERE GEAR ™ Synthetic Gear Lubes outperform all conventional gear oils and are recommended for all types of vehicles such as turbo diesel pick-ups, SUVs, autos, trucks, heavy equipment and motor homes. Compatible with most limited-slip differentials.

AMSOIL 75W-90 Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) is designed to meet the special requirements of certain manual transmissions and transaxles, such as the New Venture NV4500. These transmissions are cast iron and have exhaust pipes close to them, causing them to run hot. Increased operating temperatures can harden seals and cause oil leaks.

AMSOIL Slip-Lock Differential Additive is formulated for use with both synthetic and petroleum gear lubricants and safely replaces manufacturer recommended friction modifiers. Its convenient flip-top dispenser provides quick and easy application to the gear housing. One four-ounce bottle of Slip-Lock treats differential capacities of two to four quarts. It is not for use in automatic transmissions or other applications requiring ATF.

NOTE: AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes do not require the use of this additive. However, not all differentials respond the same and if chatter is noticed, the addition of AMSOIL Slip-Lock will eliminate it. For chattering differentials not running AMSOIL Gear Lube, this product is an excellent solution to the problem.

AMSOIL Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

AMSOIL Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) exceeds the performance requirements for domestic and foreign automatic transmission fluid applications, providing excellent lubricating protection and better performance over a wider temperature range than conventional automatic transmission fluids.

AMSOIL ATF resists thermal and oxidative degradation up to three times longer than conventional transmission fluids, protecting components from damaging sludge and varnish deposits, preventing component overheating and ensuring cooler, smoother transmission operation. AMSOIL ATF also offers three times the cold temperature fluidity required by current automatic transmission fluid specifications and provides easier starting, faster warm-ups, smoother shifting and improved fuel economy.

AMSOIL ATF provides smooth shifting and long, trouble-free transmission life for extended drain intervals. Transmissions usually operate under severe service conditions and are subjected to extensive idling, frequent short trips, cold temperature driving, sustained hot weather driving or trailer towing. When conventional transmission fluid is used, it should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles. AMSOIL ATF should be changed at intervals up to three times longer than the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer.

AMSOIL Oil Filtration Systems

The AMSOIL Ea Spin-On By-Pass Filter cleans oil diverted from engine circulation by treating it to ultra-fine filtration that removes sub-micron sized particles and water.

A History of Excellence

AMS-Oiler™

The AMS-Oiler™ is an oil pre-charger that puts an end to dry-engine starting. Typically, an engine that sits idle for even a short period of time will operate relatively dry upon starting before oil is able to fully lubricate the system. In fact, the automotive industry estimates that up to 50 percent of engine bearing wear occurs during the starting process. Indeed, the superiority of AMSOIL motor oils minimizes start-up wear by clinging to the metal surfaces, but even more can be done to concentrate the oil on the critical wear areas in an engine. With the AMS-Oiler in place, 160 cubic centimeters of oil is injected directly on the engine bearings and other wear sensitive surfaces upon turning of the key, giving instant protection to vital engine components.
